I am a Mexican professional in Archaeology and Archaeometry, focused on the study of ancient technologies, especially in the characterization of ceramics recovered from terrestrial and underwater archaeological sites associated with the Iberian expansion in America during the 15th to 17th centuries. Using minimally destructive and non-destructive analytical techniques, I am interested in understanding the process of cultural contact, confluences, fusion, and technical changes that help to create new narratives about this significant historical encounter between the Old and New World.
I graduated from the National School of Anthropology and History (ENAH) in Mexico and have participated in national and international research projects. I am an active member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of Mexico and other scientific institutions, and I have completed specialized courses in archaeology, analytical techniques, and the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN), among others, as well as participating in academic conferences and producing scientific publications. Currently, I collaborate on multidisciplinary projects and European research groups in Historical Archaeology, Post-Medieval Archaeology, and Archaeometry. I am a Research Group: Experimental Space for Innovation in Heritage and Cultural Landscapes (GPAC) member.
